We both camped a lot when we were growing up. After we were married, we bought a tent and camping supplies and camped until the kids came along. When they were in elementary school, we took a couple of long summer trips, one to Canada for 4 weeks and the other cross-country for 9 weeks. For those trips, we had a 28 ft travel trailer. Then we stopped camping when the boys went to college and I went back to school.
Five years ago we started camping again with a small hybrid trailer, then the 30 ft Rockwood in the top pictures. That was a great trailer except that it wasn't insulated very well for winter camping. And since we now spend so much time camping year round, we upgraded to a 32 ft two-slide Cardinal a year ago.
This trailer is well insulated so we stay warm in the winter months and it's plenty big enough to live in for several months at a time when we finally decide to go on the road again.
